One of our flagship projects has been a long-term collaboration with a leading global car brand, where we developed a fully customised virtual reality experience to enhance and support their sales journey.

Over the course of six years, we worked hand-in-hand with the client to roll out an interactive VR solution that brought their vehicles to life for customers, right on the dealership floor.

The Challenge: Bring the Brand Experience to Life

Car buying is no longer just about seeing a model on the showroom floor — it’s about connecting with the brand and exploring the full range on offer. The client wanted to be able to visually immerse potential customers and showcase the various car models and features without relying on physical inventory. The goal was to elevate the sales experience beyond traditional methods and allow users to experience the brand in a powerful, memorable way — all before they ever set foot in a car.

Our solution? A VR experience that places customers in a lifelike virtual showroom, with a variety of cars to choose from and explore.

Deep Customisation, Real-Time Visualisation

A standout feature of this experience was the depth of customisation available. Clients could explore:

  • Interior options: Including seat materials, trim details and dashboard layouts
  • Exterior colours: Effortlessly explore different paint colours and enjoy the unique experience of viewing the car in any shade you choose.
  • Wheel and rim options: Preview different rim styles and sizes across various models.
  • Model variations: View the model variations and discover the differences in specifications

 

Therefore, rather than just flipping through a brochure or looking at a screen, customers found themselves fully immersed in a VR environment, feeling as if they were truly interacting with the car.

Experience  Rollout

The VR experience was rolled out to 40 dealerships nationwide. VTS supported every step of the process:

  • Hardware consultancy: We helped source VR-ready PCs and Meta Quest VR headsets.
  • Pre-configuration: Our team pre-loaded and tested each unit to ensure it was plug-and-play ready upon delivery.
  • Training and enablement: Dealers received video tutorials, detailed installation and setup guides to help ensure smooth adoption.
  • Remote & on-site support: From setup to troubleshooting, VTS provided technical support both virtually and, where needed, in person.
